🧠Behavioral Diagnostic Overview
A comprehensive 1:1 evaluation designed to uncover the root causes of behavioral challenges and identify individualized pathways for recovery and wellness. This session includes:
- Full behavior assessment in context (home/environment when possible)
- Observation of physical cues, emotional triggers, and social responses
- Client interview and discussion of history, concerns, and goals
- Written recommendations with priority focus areas

Every dog deserves to be understood before being taught.Â
A Behavioral Session Inquiry Form MUST be filled out and accepted prior to the evaluation.
Each training day includes hands-on work with Paula and direct client participation. Programs are designed to evolve based on each dog’s progress and Paula’s professional evaluation. Here is a list of topics that could be included in your custom program:

Threshold Training: Teaching impulse control at doors, gates, or entryways to reduce reactivity and overstimulation.
Structured Walk Coaching: Reclaiming the walk as a leadership tool; builds focus and decompression skills |Â
Home Behavior Reset: Addressing jumping, barking, pacing, guarding, or other indoor challengesÂ
Sensory Recovery: Exercises focused on sniffing, decompression, and restoring canine agency in the environment.
Communication Tune-Up: Teaching both dog and human to recognize stress signals and use clear non-verbal cues.
Focus & Engagement: Building calm alertness and voluntary connection through games, patterns, and choice.
Enrichment Foundations: Introducing productive outlets through toys, puzzles, and structured activities.Â
Trust Building Sessions: Especially important for rescue or reactive dogs—pausing obedience to build safe connection.
Cooperative Care: Low-stress grooming, vet prep, and handling desensitization.
Social Confidence Builder: Working near other dogs, with neutral setups to reduce overwhelm and encourage stability.

At MO/AR Tracking & Rescue, our boots hit the ground (and the skies!) to bring lost pets home—always free of charge and fueled by heart.
Working in tandem are Paula and Nick, a dynamic duo blending boots-on-the-ground expertise with aerial precision:
Paula Sharkey – SARTECH III and certified in K9 Emergency Care, with a nose for details and a heart for the four-legged; also training Freyja, her promising K9 partner, in tracking and scent work.
Nick – Licensed drone operator with thermal imaging tech through Precision Drone Ops, offering the aerial eyes that spot what ground teams can’t.
Together, Paula and Nick operate as a coordinated team—whether collaborating under MO/AR’s banner or responding independently. From thermal sweeps to triage-ready care, they’re redefining how search and rescue meets pet recovery.
We’re honored to work alongside the dedicated volunteer network that started it all and rounds out the efforts:
Charlie Barnes & his tracking dog, Sabii – the scent-driven legends.
Tanya – Recovery Specialist with a knack for safe returns.
Stacey (our resident Dog Whisperer) & Greg – the calm in the chaos.
What We Do: Whether we’re scaling wooded terrain, scanning fields from above, or soothing a nervous pup at the finish line, our mission stays simple: Find the lost, bring them home. Compassionate, tactical, and always pet-centered.
